During our trip to the Ryder Cup in Minnesota in 2016 we’d booked an extra day after the golf tournament in case there were rain delays. There wasn’t, so we had a spare day before our flight back to New York then England.
As luck would have it, Minnesota Vikings were playing that night at the newly opened Bank Stadium. So we decided to splash out and get tickets for the game against the New York Giants.
The stadium was the most expensive ever built at the time at 1.1 billion dollars. I can only say that it was absolutely stunning!!! With the biggest glass doors in the world and one end of the stadium open when we arrived to allow for air circulation, the climb up to our seats via a series of escalators was a journey in itself.
What an experience and an unbelievable sports stadium.
