What we did
We moved into a large (money pit), I mean Edwardian House a few years ago.
Over the years work had been undertaken on the house to various degrees of quality, and it showed. So we decided that we needed to strip back everything to bare walls.
We then started the process of basically bringing the whole house back to its former glory.
Every wall was skimmed and original details like skirting boards and coving were fitted to the original specifications where it had been damaged or removed.
During the refurbishment, we also added an extension from the original kitchen through to the original back yard. Then refitted every window with the correct specification sash windows.
The kitchen was the last space to be fitted out and has become the main living space of the house.
The labour of love continues…
