What we did
One of our favourite projects was this Kitchen space we worked on with Tracy and Claire. Basically they really wanted an island in their small kitchen. They’d had a number of kitchen companies out to try to work out a way to achieve that but nothing had worked.
The problem had been that the other companies were trying to fit units under the window and that it turn reduced the width of the space to a point that an island wouldn’t work.
One of our mantra’s is ‘there’s always a way’ and we basically went over the plans and different layouts until we came up with the option of once large central island with plenty of storage under it. Then a main wall with cooking, refrigeration and wall units at one end of the room. A mirrored backsplash was added to increase the size of the space psychologically.
