Great project we’ve been asked to do for a client called Lisa Jones. She’s one of the top make up artists in the North of England and has really eclectic tastes. The theme she’s after is basically Studio 54!!!
Can’t wait to get stuck into this one. Love the whole Studio 54 vibe and the whole success story behind the worlds best ever night club. Last time I was in New York I made a pilgrimage to the theatre that used to house the Discotheque back in the late 70’s/early 80’s. It’s back to being a theatre now and they wouldn’t let me into the main space as they were rehearsing. But I managed to get some shots of the exterior and entrance hall.
We’ve started to build up a set of reference images, as we do with every project and just to whet Lisa’s appetite we’ve done a little Photoshop work on a classic Studio 54 paparazzi photo. The image is a classic from back in the clubs heyday showing Liza Minnelli, Bianca Jagger, Andy Warhol and Halston. See if you can spot Lisa giving it LARGE!!!
